Frequently Asked Questions
How many appointments will be necessary?
This will probably depend on how long you have had your current health concern. If it is something you have suffered with for some time, it may take several appointments before you feel completely well again. If it’s a more recent problem, you are likely to feel better after only one or two appointments.
How often will I need to see you?
At the end of your first appointment, we will normally make a second appointment for you in two to four week's time. At your second appointment, we will be able to assess how you are responding to treatment and then decide how regularly you need to come. Usually, appointments are made every two to four weeks, depending on the nature of your health concerns.
How soon will I see improvements?
Most people have noticed improvements by their second appointment. Some people see small improvements such as better sleep or improved energy, whereas other people report quite dramatic improvement.
Are there any side effects from homeopathic medicines?
No, homeopathic remedies are safe and free from harmful side effects.
How long will I have to take homeopathic medicines for?
The aim of homeopathic treatment is to resolve the underlying problem causing your health problem. Once this has been resolved you will no longer need to take homeopathic medicines.
Can I take my regular medication alongside homeopathic medicines?
Homeopathic medicines can work safely and effectively alongside medicines prescribed by your GP, so you can carry on taking your regular medication. It is important that you tell us about all current medicines that you are taking so that we can take these into account when prescribing for you.
Should I tell my GP that I’m coming to see you?
If you are taking medicines prescribed by your GP we would recommend that you let her/him know that you are taking homeopathic medicines alongside. If you want to “come off” your prescribed medicines, we may be able to formulate a plan in agreement with your GP.
Will you make me change my diet and lifestyle?
We will not “make you” do anything! We may recommend that you drink more water as very few people drink enough water to replace what they lose each day (see here for more information on water) and just drinking more water can make a big difference to your overall health. Any other suggestions will take into account what is realistic and feasible for you as an individual.
